This second-level bathroom in a Minnetonka home belonged to the kids, and the goal was to make it brighter, more colorful, and a whole lot more fun. The existing layout worked well, so we kept the footprint the same and focused on updating finishes, lightening the room, and bringing in playful details that made the space feel fresh and inviting for the kids who use it every day.
The vision was to create a kids’ bathroom that felt upbeat, full of personality, and fun without leaning overly juvenile. Color and a patterned wallpaper played a big role, balanced with finishes that could grow with the kids over time. Because the footprint stayed the same, we focused on details like playful tile, improved lighting, fresh paint, and modern fixtures to make the room feel joyful now – and timeless down the line.
