The original bathroom felt disconnected from the rest of the home, both in layout and overall presence. It was tight, dated, and didn’t reflect how the homeowners wanted to use the space day to day.
We reworked the plan to create better flow and give each element room to breathe, adding a larger custom vanity, a generous walk-in shower, and space for a sculptural soaking tub. The result is a layout that feels more open, functional, and aligned with the home’s bold midcentury character.
Wrapped in vertical ochre tile and grounded by terrazzo flooring, the bathroom now feels immersive, confident, and aligned with the bold character of the home.
The vision for this bathroom remodel was simple with warmth, boldness, texture, and contrast taking the lead. Ochre became the foundation – not just an accent, but the defining material that carried through the room. Vertical ceramic tile wraps the walls in color and depth, shifting softly with the light throughout the day.
To ground that warmth, we introduced a fluted dark vanity that added depth and contrast, while matte black fixtures brought clarity and restraint to the palette. The terrazzo flooring softened the entire look and introduced variation underfoot, keeping the room dynamic and balanced.
Every decision was made to create a bathroom that feels bold yet balanced, layered, architectural, and deeply intentional.
