This bathroom was originally gutted due to a shower leak, which opened the door for a full re-design. The old layout simply wasn’t functional – the shower was undersized, the spacing felt awkward, and nothing flowed the way it should. Once the room was opened up, the goal was simple: create a footprint that finally made sense, with a full-size shower, better separation of zones, and space for a vanity and toilet that felt intentional rather than squeezed in.
The goal was to turn this once-leaky, dated bathroom into a space that felt bold, modern, and joyful. They wanted a space that showed real personality, not just a repair. They were instantly drawn to terrazzo floors, deep, bold tile, warm brass, and a vanity that felt more like a curated furniture piece. They loved playing with pattern and texture, so we paired the hex flooring with vertical red tile in the shower to ground the room while keeping it playful. Their vision was simple: a bathroom that felt intentional, elevated, and made smart use of every inch.
