This corner of the basement was previously underused and didn’t offer anything beyond open wall space. With the family spending so much time downstairs, adding a wet bar became the perfect way to give the basement more personality, plus make it more functional and self-sufficient. A beverage fridge, counter space, and closed storage now make the perfect spot for drinks, snacks, and easy hosting.

They wanted a wet bar that felt playful and full of personality, something that could stand on its own but still connect to the rest of the basement. Green cabinetry paired with butcher block countertops brought in warmth and color, while a bold, patterned wallpaper introduced texture and a sense of whimsy without overwhelming the room. And the finishing touch? Hanging their favorite Lolita artwork right beside the bar, a personal piece that instantly made the space feel like theirs.
