Before the remodel, the attic bedroom was just a small uninsulated closet, outdated popcorn ceilings, and a layout that didn’t make the most of the natural light or the available square footage. Our clients wanted this level to be highly functional – a space where every corner had purpose. They imagined a bedroom with style and personality, a reading nook for slow mornings, an office that felt tucked away yet still connected, and a place to relax and watch TV at the end of the day.
While the biggest goal of the space was to use every square inch of the attic in a way that felt thoughtful, cozy, and aligned with the next chapter of their lives, our clients were also expected to make a truly vibrant, charming space. Bold green-and-blue wallpaper around a new fireplace brought depth and color, while the office nook borrowed light through a new opening so it never felt closed off. We removed the popcorn ceilings and added cork flooring throughout for softness and warmth.
